Distributed aggregation allows users to collect data efficiently in a large-scale network. It also has a wide spectrum of applications in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs), such as vehicular sensing networks and a foundational platform for smart city applications. However, due to constraints such as a rapidly changing network topology, failures in VANETs are unavoidable. In this poster, we outline several different fault-tolerant designs and provide preliminary evaluation results for one VANET application.
