An event happens the first time several periodic pulse trains all overlap (are all "on") simultaneously. Assuming that all pulse trains are randomly located with respect to each other, it is argued that the time required is approximately an exponential random variable. A formula for the mean of this time and the results of some tests by computer simulation are given.
