In this paper, a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) amplify-and-forward (AF) relay system with direct link is investigated, where simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) technique is applied at the multiple-antenna relay node which splits the received signal into two parts, one portion is used for information decoding (ID) and the other portion is adopted for energy harvesting (EH). By considering power splitting (PS) scheme of SWIPT, the relay node consumes the harvested energy to forward the ID signal to the destination. We design the precoding matrixes of the source and relay nodes to derive the achievable rate. Finally, the analytical results are validated by the simulations.
