Several cities are proposing the change from the use of non-renewable source of energy to renewable energy source via introduction of electric buses. The move is aimed at improving the quality of air. Electrification of the mostly used bus routes should be done to achieve realistic improvements when it comes to quality of air in cities since diesel-powered buses should undergo electrification. Additionally, the plan should be physically as well as economically sustainable. Therefore, the paper seeks to find the likely solution to the transport in the public sector.
