Efficient avoidance of conflicts is usually performed locally, guiding aircraft below, above or aside of the conflict partner. However, considering the complete trajectory, a global resolution would often be more efficient. This especially is true when avoiding large no-fly-zone, or when a flight needs to perform multiple avoidance maneuvers. Assuming that all obstacles are well-known between start and destination, a proactive conflict-free efficient routing may be an efficient approach. This paper describes a new algorithm predicting efficient and conflict-free routings in a given 4D environment.
