The development of SmartShip systems is described. The components of a SmartShip system vary from ship to ship depending on the size, the mission and the geographical areas where the ship operates. The components are developed in a modular fashion in order that systems can be constructed which respond to many different requirements. The components of a SmartShip system can include the development of products related to communications, navigation and mission-oriented requirements.
