Aircraft manufacturers are proposing a number of databuses that have never been used in civil aviation to date. This paper documents some of the common interconnects being proposed as databuses on civil aircraft. Criteria that should be considered when developing, selecting, or approving databus technology for civil certification projects is also discussed. This criteria is useful for databus manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, and certification authorities.
