5 W average output power was achieved with a diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO/sub 4/ regenerative amplifier at a repetition rate of 35 kHz. A commercial 10-psoscillator was used as seed pulse source. Stable TEM/sub 00/ operation was obtained.
