The flow field around a 6:1 prolate spheroid is numerically solved. The freestream velocity is 45 m/s. The angle between the principal axis of the prolate spheroid and the free flow direction is 30 degrees. Reynolds number based on length is 6.7 million. The k-omega and k-epsilon turbulence models are applied for two different solution meshes. The present numerical results are compared with the available experimental data.
