The paper deals with the problem of determining the uncertainty of the aircraft take-off and landing distance measurement using the IMUMETER method. The method is based on a model of artificial neural networks, which on the basis of the measurement results of selected kinematic quantities (acceleration, magnetic field) recognizes the moment of take-off and lift-off during take-off as well as the moment of touchdown and stopping the aircraft during landing. The paper presents the measurement model with the uncertainty calculation as well as the results of the verification measurements in which the method in question was experimentally verified. It was found that the analytically determined error of the length determination method is approx. 0.15%, while the measurement uncertainty estimated in relation to the reference method is below 6%.
