• Partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs) represent sequential decision problems using a probabilistic model and cost function • POMDP approach to deciding when to validate ADS-B reports results in fewer queries while maintaining safety • Method is robust to noise in position and major faults • Further work will focus on enhancing the model
