■ The ANTARES project has defined a new satellite CP with the objective to fulfil SESAR long-term requirements (Class A). ■ VTB and simulation results available up to now show that anticipated performance requirements can be met, with good bandwidth efficiency ■ Good adaptation to aeronautical channel ■ Use of efficient state-of-the-art random access technology ■ Communication Protocol intended for global standardization ■ Input for on-going EUROCAE (WG-82) standardization activities for the long-term
