This paper describes the functionality and the main components of the Simulation & Visualization tool (SimVis) including the Mission Designer, the Run-Time Environment, and the Model Library. The Mission Designer encompasses the Mission, Catalogue, Assembly, and Schedule Editors. The Mission Designer supports loading a simulation into SIMSAT as a Run-Time Environment. Furthermore SimVis interfaces also to external visualization applications such as OpenIGS. Finally the paper describes the standard models such as Spacecraft Environment, AOCS, Thermal models and the utility classes supporting mathematical and geometric computations.
