"Logistics" is the term that refers to the movement of goods or merchandise from a source of raw materials through the production cycle to their final point of sale or consumption. Reducing the carbon intensity of the supply chain is likely to progress significantly due to the amount of toxic gas by ground vehicles. This will create both opportunities and risks for logistics and transportation companies, particularly those that use the traditional routing model to plan their trips for product delivery. Various factors are associated with adopting green logistics for the e-commerce industry that provide home delivery for a whole country in the least amount of time. Companies must focus on managing these factors in road logistics while leaving a low carbon footprint by using dynamic vehicle routing and the Environmental Cost of Transportation.
