The method of moments has been adopted to analyze longitudinal slot coupling between parallel rectangular waveguides with non-identical slot offsets. The thick slot has been modeled as a stub waveguide. Theoretical and experimental data on S-parameters for a coupler with a slot in the common broad wall have been presented. The directional property of the long slot is brought out.
