In the EC-funded project IN-PREP, which was launched in September 2017, multiple table-top exercises and large-scale demonstrations are conducted to show the benefit of a multi-actor training platform for crisis managers and practitioners. The first exercise has been performed in Spoleto, Italy in November 2018. The prepared scenario simulated a chemical leakage after a truck accident, putting inhabitants in danger. Practitioners from various civil protection agencies acted in the scenario, supported by tools from IN-PREP project partners, including DLR’s ground control station for unmanned aircraft and DLR’s sensor simulation.
