Energy regeneration is a wide used technique for electric vehicle manufacture, using assistant braking which added by electric motor, the kinetic energy during braking can be regenerated into battery; the utilization of energy can be greatly improved. Due to the effect of the regenerative braking torque, the hydraulic braking torque should be changed compared with traditional vehicle; the braking control logic of anti-lock braking system (ABS) ought to be adjusted according to the regenerative braking torque. On the basis of analysis and comparison of various types regenerative braking system, this paper presents a new combination control strategy, the target for the braking system controller design is to maintain two kinds of braking torque work together harmoniously to assure the braking safety of vehicle and maintain a sense of comfort for driver. Considering the change of braking torque is continuously, the presented combination control logic dynamic adjusts the hydraulic braking torque and the regenerative braking torque at the same time, so that best compromise between hydraulic braking torque and regenerative braking torque can be obtained for the vehicle, the simulation results show that the proposed strategy is robust and effective.
