Because of the high support costs, increase in aircraft down time, and hazards associated with the use of liquid oxygen, development has been progressing on on-board oxygen generation systems which have the capability of meeting the requirements of a two man open loop breathing schedule. An evaluation program was conducted on an oxygen generator utilizing the molecular sieve concept of nitrogen absorption. The system was developed to establish unit performance in the environment anticipated during in flight operation. Oxygen concentration has been evaluated as a function of inlet air pressure.
