The manifold peculiarities of the laws of air resistance are able to support entirely satisfactorily the aerodynamic theory of air resistance explained here. The shape of the rear portion of the body is in many instances more important for resistance than the shape of the front section. By means of appropriate design, the resistance of aircraft bodies and similar vehicles can be reduced to close to theoretical value zero.
