The recommended transportation plan for the Springfield region is a culmination of the comprehensive land-use and transportation study. It is a framework for systematic planning and decision-making by the entire metropolitan community. It is based on extensive systems analyses of present and future travel, and is predicted on the changes that are anticipated in the next twenty-five years. Many of these changes actually will depend on improved transportation. (Author)
