The Morameal Revetment is located on the left bank of the Red River near Elm Grove, Louisiana, with the downstream end of the bank protection works beginning at mile 256.6 (mileage established in 1967 by the Corps of Engineers). The revetment was inspected by the U.S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station (WES) evaluation team on 9 May 78.
