The publication reports the results of a research of measures, taken in the Netherlands and other countries, which are intended to increase traffic safety in traffic areas. Often, for various reasons, little is made public about the subject. Nevertheless, it is useful to take notice of projects which are started elsewhere. Not all the measures found in the research are entirely new, often they differ little from a basic concept. The purpose of the publication is to disseminate some ideas.
