The proposed plan is to expand the existing airport at Mohall, ND. Included would be Land acquisition - - development and clear zones; site preparation and drainage to expand and construct a hard-surfaced, runway 13/31; pave runway 60' x 3100'; connecting taxiways 30' x 250'; apron 100' x 150'; miscellaneous items to include segmented circle and wind cone. Some increase in noise pollution will occur as activity increases as a result of the upgrading of the existing facility. Air pollution will increase as usage increases; however, aircraft and related automobile air pollution will remain insignificant. There are no known historical/archeological sites or areas of scenic beauty and no waterfowl breeding grounds near the proposed airport. Approximately ten acres of the 160-acre airport will be disturbed by construction for this project. Some disruption of ground animals and ground-nesting birds will occur.
