A new crosstown bus line was established for demonstration purposes. This technical report is one of a series on the demonstration project. The objective of this particular report is to estimate the benefits and costs of the Sacramento Transit Authority operation, not only to its patrons, but also to those persons using automobiles and the general public. Particular emphasis is placed on the benefits and costs of using an automobile versus using mass transportation. (Author)
