Observations on CFD and turbulence model validation/calibration for the simulation of high-speed propulsive flowfields are presented in the form of the view-graphs. The following topics are covered: the major pitfalls in the validation process; CFD codes/basic attributes; SAIC/FPSO CFD code philosophy; FNS and PNS computer codes with advanced thermochemistry; high speed propulsive problems analyzed by CFD models of increasing complexity; and four levels of code validation.
