The purpose of the Harrisburg River relief route is to alleviate the excessive delays and road user costs inherent to the existing system. The Department of Transportation has completed the relocation of all families in the right-of-way. Minor adverse impacts include effects on a steep wooded hillside, portion of a park which is not readily usable for recreation, noise pollution effect on the region.
