The project consists of the preparation of a Master Plan for the Pratt Municipal Airport, which, in turn, recommends improvements on the runways, taxiways, lighting, terminal area, and hangar area. The proposed improvements will increase aircraft operations resulting in an increase in noise and air pollution. Air and noise pollution will be generated also from increased motor vehicle traffic to and from the airport. Drainage improvements will expose soil to wind and water erosion, which will result in temporary air and water pollution. The Pratt Feedlot, Inc., although designed and managed to keep pollution to a minimum, does present a potential source of pollution in the form of polluted runoff from the feedlot pens as a result of precipitation, accumulation of large quantities of manure in stockpiles and malodors from the feeding operation.
