The use of rigid airships for commercial freight operations in the United Kingdom was studies. The subjects discussed are: (1) capabilities of the airships, (2) economic aspects of freight market, (3) typical design specifications, (4) cost effectiveness, and (5) possible application to international trade. The supporting data are presented in the form of tables and graphs. Mathematical models are developed to show the relationship of the various parameters. (Author)
