The report covers the results of the second year of the study 'Highway Esthetics' and specifically examines the function and use of esthetic criteria for corridor and route location. The work proceeded upon the definition that 'esthetics' are not additive but should be identified and utilized as integral in the process of highway development. Thus comprehensive planning provides the esthetic highway. (Author)
