This report is a compilation of suppliers' inspection data on 134 million barrels of JP-4 jet fuel purchased by the Air Force during 1964. These inspection data were reported to the Air Force Aero Propulsion Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. A statistical study was made of nineteen standard specification tests, all of which showed a skew distribution. None indicated any problem areas caused by difficulty in meeting specification limits. The total volume of jet fuel reported to have been purchased was about the same as that purchased during the previous year. However, District 1 (Eastern States) reported a much smaller volume than in 1963. (Author)
