This report describes work done at the University of Maryland in collaboration with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace on site model-based image exploitation, during the period 3/1/95 - 7/31/95. The goals are (a) to use EO imagery obtained from a reconnaissance flight to build a detailed 3-D model of the target site, and (b) to use the site model to register and exploit images from an IR sequence obtained from a sensor mounted on a platform approaching the target site. The ultimate aim is the precise guidance of the platform based on a comparison of reference images generated from the site model and the IR images obtained by the platform itself.
