The object of these tests was to evaluate LMSD Propellant Vent Service Quick Disconnect Coupling, P/N 1507483 (ground half) and P/N 1585661 (airborne half). The specimens tested proved satisfactory with respect to structural integrity, smoothness of actuation and ability to maintain a pressure seal under extreme environmental conditions. The vent coupling displayed relatively little pressure loss (0.4 psi) while flowing helium at a rate of 10 cfm.
