The objective of the commodity engineering test procedure is to establish uniform procedures for determining and evaluating the technical performance of vehicular or helicopter mounted riot control agent dispersers in terms of the criteria established by applicable Qualitative Materiel Requirements, Small Development Requirements, Technical Characteristics, and other design requirements or specifications. These procedures will also permit evaluation of the relative safety of tested items in the hands of Army troops and the safety of those items for service testing. (Author)
