The role of the National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL) is to conduct research and investigations which will advance aeronautics and space technology and to provide large-scale test facilities to be shared with other governmental organizations. This report, which is being published in English to increase international understanding and promote mutual cooperation, describes the major accomplishments and applications that have been made during the past year. The report illustrates both the broad range of research highlights and activities at NAL and the contributions of this work toward the advancement of aerospace technology in Japan.
