The improvement, proposed along 1.7 miles of existing roadway lies within the southern portion of Louisville Kentucky. The project begins at Third Street Road on the south and ends at Southern Parkway on the north. Some adverse environmental impact involves Iroquois Park. The improvement will take a narrow strip of approximately three acres from this 740 acre park. An additional adverse effect will be the taking of approximately 300 trees of all sizes. The improvement will require the taking of only three dwelling units and one business between Third Street Road and Palatka Road.
