This report describes the Civil Aeromedical Institute cabin safety data bank and gives summaries of injuries reflected in the over 1,400 accidents/incidents in the data bank. As an example of the uses to which these data are applicable, the number of aircraft involved in occurrences are compared with the number in operation and selected variables. The discussion provides further insight into the data bank's potential applications. (Author)
