The accuracy of the Omega navigation system may be improved from one nautical mile to approximately 0.1 nautical mile by a technique called 'Precision Omega'. Improving the short-term precision through the use of a four-range least-squares position solution, and removing the bias by reference to navigation satellite position fixes results in a daytime accuracy of 590 ft (180m).
