This console is used in the preflight checkout of the beacon transponder, a component of the Agena D vehicle. The console is capable of interrogating the beacon by simulating the AFMTC MOD II Radar Set. It transmits and receives data, through either the exit or orbit antenna of the vehicle. The console consists of nine electronic chassis and an air conditioning unit installed in a two-bay cabinet. External power is applied to the console through the power panel on the rear of the console. The power panel contains all main fuses and directly feeds power buses located inside the back of the cabinet. Fusing for individual equipments is located on the front panel of the particular chassis. All input signals to the console and output signals from the console are routed through connectors located on the top of the cabinet.
