The statement covers the aspects of the construction of a 0.98 mile section of a four-lane undivided urban highway, and the addition of an interchange with Interstate Route 65. The improvement is located in Davidson and Sumner Counties, and extends from Dickerson Road (SR-11) to Jackson Road. The beneficial results include: the relief of traffic congestion in the area with additional access to Goodlettsville from Interstate 65, greater safety of travel, and the improved accessibility to land proposed for future industrial development. Adverse effects are: the displacement of three residences and two businesses as a result of right-of-way acquisition, some loss of natural resources, and some increase in noise and air pollution as a result of increased traffic volumes.
