The results are presented for a study conducted to determine the problems which would be encountered in changing from ground-based to space-based vehicle operations. The study was directed primarily toward those activities associated with vehicle operational readiness and the problems related to performing maintenance, assembly, refurbishment, and repair tasks while on-orbit. A representative propulsion system was reviewed in order to identify and assess current practices of determining operational readiness. (Author)
