The report addresses research- and development activities at NLR in the field of attitude determination and control. The work is directed towards the application of modern control techniques for the development of attitude estimation and control algorithms. Besides the build-up to knowledge of modern control theories, the work involves mainly the mathematical modelling of the considered systems such as mertial optical systems, flexible spacecraft, liquid sloshing in microgravity, etc. The second part addresses developments in the area of testing of attitude control systems.
