The proposed action comprises construction of a portion of an Airport Loop Road, the perimeter highway around the outer boundary of the Atlanta Airport, providing access to planned airport support areas; a cargo aircraft apron to alleviate the presently congested cargo facilities and provide additional facilities; a related taxiway for access to the cargo apron; improvements to and partial enclosure of the Flint River which traverses the Airport, to provide for the Airport development program and its related land uses. The currently proposed project will have little effect upon the discharge rate of Flint River, but will provide a conduit which will be capable of conveying the anticipated future volumes of flow.
