The Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (Natural) requests authorization to construct and operate facilities for attaching new supplies of natural gas located in West Cameron Area, offshore Louisiana. The proposed facilities include approximately 4.32 miles of 36-inch diameter pipeline onshore, 28.33 miles of 36-inch diameter pipeline offshore, 11.50 miles of 24-inch diameter pipeline offshore, 4.90 miles of 16-inch diameter pipeline offshore, and an offshore platform. The site selected for the liquid removal facilities is on relatively high ground near U.S. Highway 82 about nine miles from the town of Holly Beach. Land, vegetation and gulf floor sediments along the proposed route will be disturbed during construction. The proposed platform will disturb the gulf floor during placement and will be a permanent structure rising above the offshore waters after installation. The liquid-removal plant will occupy land previously classified as unimproved pasture land.
