The book discusses theoretical foundations and methods of design of infrared and visual aircraft homing and guidance systems, and their elements such as optical and optical-electronic systems, image analyzers, direction stabilizers, etc. Block diagrams of these devices are given. The problems of target and outer space infrared radiation and its penetration into the atmosphere and cosmic space, and the foundations of aircraft collison theory are also analyzed. (Author)
