The project consists of reconstruction of an existing roadway to provide a 28 foot gravel-surfaced roadway with separate bicycle path within a basic right-of-way of 100 feet. The route lies totally within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in South Central Alaska. The impact of the improvement will be to provide reliable, all-weather access for residents, emergency vehicles and recreational traffic. The adverse effect will be the disruption of native vegetation where minimum highway safety requires realignment. (Author)
