Air Freight is a small market in the Norwegian freight transportation market, measured to volume (less than 1 percent), but in value the market for freight transport is around 8 percent of Norwegian foreign trade. As much as 70 percent of the air freight are probable airtrucking, which means that the cargo are transported on truck out of the country for further transport by air from a foreign airport. The main air cargo market in export are fresh fish to Japan, while fresh fruits, electric instruments, medicines, medical equipment are the main market for air freight in import. This report is documenting the implementation of air freight in foreign trade in the Norwegian freight model NEMO.
