This report is an attempt to provide, in narrative form, a bridge between the stability maps resulting from the more or less classical mathematical solution of the equations of motion as applied to tethered balloons and the predicted balloon motions which will be observed in actual flight. Those motions observed on the BJ+3 are discussed with respect to their relationship to the motions predicted to occur on the IID-7.
