The patent relates to an angular momentum flywheel mounted aboard a satellite or similar spacecraft to permit spin stabilization of the satellite without imposing undue limitations on the spin rate of the outer or main satellite body. The flywheel generates an angular momentum which can be used on slowly spinning satellites to increase the net angular momentum of the system and thus insure spin stabilization of the satellite.
