The fifteenth satellite of the Interkosmos series was launched on 19 June 1976. Objective of the launching was the in-flight testing of new satellite systems, including a telemetric system designed for transmitting observational data to ground stations in the U.S.S.R. and socialist countries. The telemetric system was developed through the joint efforts of scientists in the U.S.S.R., Hungary, East Germany, Poland, and Czechoslovakia. (Author)
