The proposed highway project will be a Kentucky 15 Bypass of the city of Hazard. The bypass will be a four-lane facility 2.24 miles in length. This project will have a positive impact on the area. It will offer service and good driving conditions to people who drive some of the worse roads in the state. It will displace some familes; but at the same time improve their living conditions. The highway will require cuts and fills as all new roads, however, erosion will be kept to a minimum due to enforced construction practices. Water pollution will be kept to a minimum.
